Learn the basics of making your own sweet and tender mozzarella cheese!
Cheese making is both an art and basic chemistry. We will demonstrate and explain the process of creating curd from fresh milk, using rennet and other coagulants, review some basic problems that often arise. and then show tips and tricks to stretch curd into fresh, tender mozzarella.
We’ll complete the class with a cheese tasting, comparing between fresh mozzarella and aged Cherry Grove Farm cheeses. You will leave with your fresh mozzarella and our signature class folder full of materials and recipes to use at home.
